It's been like 200 degrees around here! Mommy, daddy and me have been eating lots of popsicles and playing in the basement. We also went to the ocean and camped over the weekend. It was nice and cool and I loved eating marshmallows and digging in the sand!
I've also been working really hard at talking in sentences. My teacher said she was really impressed by how much I've been taking. I asked her to "sit down next to me" during lunch the other day. I've also started to ask why after every sentence. Mommy and daddy really love that.
We've had visitors! Guess who? Nai Nai and Yie Yie! It has been so much fun. As soon as they got here, the fun started! We did lots of cool stuff like eating in restaurants and I got to take them to my favorite places! We went to a bouncy castle place, the zoo, the farmer's market, and to a "Day Out with Thomas"! Nai Nai picked out some Chinese books from the library for me and they've been reading them to me. Mostly, though, I just love having them around.
Day out with Thomas was so much fun. We were some of the first ones there. The train ride was ok, but I had so much more fun getting my picture with Thomas, playing with the stamps and coloring, playing with the train sets, getting a tattoo (don't worry it is temporary!), exploiring the trains, eating ice cream and of course getting my very own train set! Thank you, Nai Nai and Yie Yie. I even used some of the money I had collected and earned to buy another train car for my set! I was so proud.
In other news, school was super cool this week. We learned all about space! I got to jump in a bouncy rocket and paint stars! I am also working on my letters. I am really good at it and know almost all the letters in my name!

Mommy cut my hair over the weekend but I wouldn't hold still while she did it so I had some divots. She fixed it for me though but it's really short now. That's ok, it's my summer cut. I'm really proud of it and I've been telling everybody at school that my mommy did it. Mommy and daddy also told me we are going to see Thomas when Nai Nai and Yeh Yeh are here to visit this week (I'm so excited!). I had to tell all my friends at school this morning, well I yelled at them. Then I asked my teacher to come with me. School is lots of fun these days. I didn't want to leave today. We're learning our letters this week and I'm also going to dance class. I won't tell mommy and daddy what we do there though. I just tell them that we play. :-)
Sorry the update took so long, but I've been working really hard on getting out of diapers. Mommy and Daddy officially let me wear underwear to sleep last night (I think I 've been ready for a while) and I didn't have an accident. I still have an accident every now and then but that's ok, accidents happen. It's been a really warm spring so I've been wearing a lot of shorts. I get confused when I go to the potty in them. I want to pee out the bottom of them but it doesn't work too well.
Oh well, at least the warm weather means I get to go swimming lots. I really love to get in my dolphin floater and my float vest. Sometimes I'll jump into mommy's arms or I'll go swimming on my own for a little. I also like to play games like through the ball at silly people who don't want to get into the water. Watch below.

I've also been really crazy about building with blocks and legos. The other morning, my teacher was serving breakfast but I wanted to keep playing with legos. Luckily, I remembered that I was hungry and ran over to say I wanted a snack before breakfast was over. The next morning I got smarter, I wanted to play with legos again but this time I snuck a bowl of oatmeal when my teacher wasn't looking :-) Then this morning I built my firetruck a house and sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to it so it could go to sleep. Then I gave it a bath with the kitchen sponge after nap. Ahhh, aren't I the cutest?
Oh right, I almost forgot. There was this other kid who was only in his swimming bottoms at the ice cream shop and I though he was naked. I pointed at him and said "naked, naked!" Mommy and daddy were really embarassed. Then I did it again.
I'm growing up more each day. My imagination's really taken off. I've been pretending to fight fires with my firemen and building big castles. I've also invented the next must have gadget, the foot phone!

This weekend has been pretty fun. I've been helping out around the house so mommy and daddy will take me to the music festival. It was pretty fun at the festival, there was a marching band that didn't march, people making lots of bubbles bigger than me, and a tent where you could drum all day! The part I liked the best was the bus ride there though.
Oh and don't cross me. I know who I am and my rights as a two year old.

Mommy and Daddy took me to my first live show today - Sesame Street Live. I got to see "Elmo's Green Thumb." It was all about gardening and nature - stuff I really like (if you don't belive me, check out the new pictures!). I just sat there and absorbed it at first, but then I got up and started to dance! I even got to meet a Honker. I really wanted to meet Grover and Cookie Monster, but I didn't get the chance. Elmo and Big Bird were still my favorites, though.
Otherwise I am just being my silly self. I love to sing songs, but you better watch out, because if I don't want you to sing and you continue, I will try to put you in time out. I tried that with Mommy and Daddy today, but it didn't work. Something about them being the parents. Blah, blah, blah.
I guess that's it for now. I have lots of stuff to do this summer - water to play in, big piles of dirt to play in, popsicles to eat, the zoo to visit. It is going to be busy!
Today I helped mommy with yardwork. We dug in the dirt and played with worms. I put some in my pocket :-) We also pulled weeds but I got tired of that and brought all my animals out in my lunchbox and lined them up in a line. It was a pretty fun day. I especially enjoyed running around the house and being crazy.

Mommy and Daddy say I've been learning lots of new words and getting to be a big boy. Well, since I'm so big now, I thought I'd have a friend over for breakfast. I think you'll see that I'm an excellent host. TTFN.

Hope everybody had a good Easter out there. I had lots of fun. I figured out how to blow bubbles and even catch them with my wand!
Then I went to the Zoo for an Easter Egg hunt. It was pretty fun, but I really enjoyed petting a real bunny and riding on the Carousel. The candy at the end was the icing on the cake.
There was a whole lot of other stuff like going to the Aquarium and seeing Gramps and Grammy but I can't remember the details. School is pretty exciting these days. I'm going on the potty almost all the time now and I play in the sandbox every chance I get. That means lots of baths but I like baths :-)
It's been just beautiful around here lately. Sunday was 70 degrees and sunny. Mommy and Daddy were goingto take me to fly a kite but I took a 3.5 hour nap. Oh well, at least we got to go play with the scooper at the playground.

Not much more news to report. I've just hanging out and playing. I'm an excellent pottier now and I'm wearing underpants to school now. All my teachers are impressed that I don't have accidents, even during nap! I also know lots of shapes and colors too. There's some more pictures from the park and Jump Planet as well. Mommy says I'm part monkey since I'm jumping off the walls but it's just a ploy to go to Toddler Playtime and Jump Planet. Here's a fun picture from the other day, ttfn.
Big news!
That's what they keep telling me anyway. I keep telling them I have a baby lion and elephant in my tummy but they don't seem to believe me. We'll see who's right when September rolls around, whenever that is. In more immediate news, I've been doing really well on the potty and my teachers think I'm ready to start wearing underwear to school! Mommy and Daddy treated me to cupcakes and I got this really cool toy with marbles. Check this out!

It's been a busy few weeks. First I went sledding with daddy and mommy. It was really hard work walking up the hill and then the snow was too soft for sledding :-( Lame, but at least I got to play with some snowballs and eat some too, hehe. Then mommy took me to this place called Jump Planet where everything is bouncy and I found this really cool climbing wall and slide, check it out.

But it hasn't always been fun and games, we got a tea plant for planting later and I've been taking good care of it. This is me hard at work watering it (I'm not allowed to have real water yet).
I'm also learning new tricks. It's been kind of rainy and cold here and I didn't have an umbrella but I made one out of my new swimsuit! I'm turning into a real Seattlite.
