I've been having a hard time of it lately. My tooths are taking forever to come through for some reason and it hurts :-( But it's ok, mommy and daddy are taking good care of me with lots of ice cream. They took me to the baseball game and mommy got a ice cream cup bigger than my head! I ate that up and fell asleep 10 minutes later; but then I got really cranky until dinner :-)
Daycare is pretty cool, I like crawling into the sensory table when it's filled with water and getting all my clothes wet. The only trouble is that I ran out of socks to change into today and had to wear girl socks. I really like my classmates too. When they cry, I try to give them a book or pat them on the head to comfort them.
I'm also exploring my transportation side. In addition to throwing them down the storm drain, I'm also putting stones in car mufflers now. I also got a new wagon that I can pull around myself. I started a toilet paper delivery route with that (see the latest pictures). Oh, and lastly, here's me pushing daddy around on my airplane. See ya later.
Today's blog is brought to you by the letter R. As I shall demonstrate in the following video, you can say lots of cool word with the letter R. Words such as row.
Get the Flash Player to see this player.
You can also spell raven with the letter R. They have those at the zoo. Mommy and daddy took me last week and I saw a bear eating watermelon, birds, and dogs running around. Plus there were these ravens to play with.
Yesterday was a big day for me as well. Mommy and Gramps and Grammy took me to see the tulips. It was really colorful and I got to run around a lot. So much fun.
Today's blog is brought to you by the letter B. You can say so many things with B; from baba to bye bye to ball to bird. My favorite word today is bye bye, I don't really understand what it means yet but it's fun to wave my hands and say bay bay all the time. This was a busy weekend for me. I excavated the whole yard with mommy and daddy's help. It was tiring but it's a good thing I was there to supervise, otherwise mommy and daddy would've been completedly lost.
Anyway, remember what today's letter is? B! Bye bye!!!
Sorry about the wait, I don't really have a good excuse besides that I'm lazy :-p Life's just been so busy that I haven't had time to write. There's all this furniture that I can climb onto now. My favorite is to push the dining table chairs and use that as a ladder to get on top of the dining table. Then I can lean over the side and see how fast mommy can run to grab me. I'm also becoming very skilled at picking my nose. Mommy likes that too. I can also say bye bye and wave now as well but I do that when I'm supposed to say hi, too. I also got a cool wagon that I can take places now. Daddy pulls it and I push.
Oh, I also really like candy now, check out all the eggs I collected for Easter!
Aren't I eggdorable!
I'm learning lots of new words now. Yesterday I learned dog and today I mastered ball. I figured that since I'm in the toddler class now I better step up my game. This afternoon my friend Naomi went home at the same time as I did so we had a race to the cars. She won but only because I got distracted by all the shiny cars, so many pretty colors. I'm getting used to the new class now. There's lots of new faces so it's kind of overwhelming but everyone's really nice. I don't cry anymore when daddy leaves anymore, especially if I get some crackers to snack on :-) I'm eating so much that mommy and daddy are calling me "third" since I'm having thirds at all my meals. They're silly.
Well my birthday came and went. It was good, but I feel so old! We had a party on Saturday for Mommy (She's older than dirt!), Uncle Thomas (He's only older than the dinosaurs.) and me. Of course I was the star of the party. Oh and there were lots of cupcakes. Look at the party favors! (The mug, not the hat, silly.)
I am walking everywhere. I really don't like to be carried anymore, but I am good at holding Daddy's hand and walking. It is so much more fun to be able to stop and pick up rocks, then carry them to the stormdrain, and drop them in.
Mommy and Daddy are letting me outside all the time now. It is so much fun. There is so much to see out there. I've played with grass, climbed on rocks and eaten dirt!
I have a new teacher at daycare and a new room, too. I am now the youngest again. Sigh. The adjustment is a little tough, but I am managing. My new teacher hasn't figured out how much I really eat yet, but I am teaching her. Oh and I get to play outside every day unless it is raining. My friends Naomi and Justin are in the same classroom as me, which is fun.
Tonight I started using my fork by myself and coloring on paper. Maybe the walls will be next. ;)
Happy Valentine's Day! Well, one day until my birthday. We had a party at daycare yesterday for me and it was grand. There were frog cupcakes and ballons. Anyhow, I could tell you all about how well I'm walking and the new words I'm using but that's boring. How about a year in review through pictures.
I haven't been blogging much in January, but I have been super busy. I have started walking more and more. I still prefer to crawl since it is faster, but I can walk when I want to. I have also figured out how to climb onto the coffee table and anything else I can get my little feet onto! Oh and I can stand up without pulling up on anything. Oh and I love to belly flop onto the couch from the side table. Cracks me up every time.
I've figured out that big people eat off of plates, and I prefer my meals that way. I only sometimes let Mommy and Daddy feed me with a spoon or chopsticks. Otherwise, I want to do it!
Mommy says I am turning into a toddler. Apparently it isn't just that I can toddle, but my "attitude." Whatever. Just because I think everything I see is mine... Oh and I kind of throw tantrums when you don't give me what I want.
Mommy and Daddy have been keeping me busy, too. They've taken me to the park on sunny Sundays. I like to go down the slide head first. :)
Happy New Year, Everyone!
No new pictures this week. Mom and dad are slacking. I'll make sure that Mommy takes plenty next week when I turn 11 months old! Almost a year! Eek! I am getting old!
Speaking of turning a year old, I found out that I am moving to a new room with my friend Naomi. We're going to move over at the same time - the end of February. We've been going to play in the other area lately, and I am going to have to start taking naps in cots. It is kind of scary and exciting at the same time!
We went to the mall today. It was pretty cool and there were lots of interesting things. I love ice cream - or was it frozen yogurt? Anyway. Daddy gave me some and I kept saying "Mah" after I finished each bite. Apparently, when I say "Mah" Daddy and Mommy think I want more. Hey, it got me more ice cream!
Then, I decided to take three steps in a row. It is a new Sam record! I can't wait to go to the mall again.
